The Charles R Drew University of Medicine & Science (CDU) Summer Bridge Program aims to facilitate a smooth transition from high school or community college to CDU for incoming undergraduate students. This program provides CDU undergraduate students with the opportunity to earn college credits through general education courses, while also engaging in activities that enhance their skills in areas such as time management, communication, and effective study strategies. Students will gain valuable insights into the various resources available at CDU to support their academic success. The summer bridge student cohort seamlessly transitions into the First Year Experience Series, fostering a sense of community and providing additional skill-building opportunities.
