Single Sign On  

Q1. What is Single Sign-On?
Answer: Single Sign-On (SSO) is a log-in utility that allows you to enter your Office 365 username and password once to access certain web applications during an Internet session without having to log in to each application. The CDU SSO will also provide a collection of links to common resources available to you. To access the CDU SSO portal visit https://cdrewu.helloid.com and log in.

Q2. What resources are currently using the SSO function? 
Answer:

  • Student Email (@cdrewu.edu)
  • Blackboard         

Q3. What is my username and password?
Answer:  Your username will be your CDU email address which is generally your first and last name followed by @cdrewu.edu
Example 

  • Name: Joe Smith 
  • Username format: joesmith@cdrewu.edu  
  • Password: Your password was the one you set while initially onboarding using the CDU Password Manager.  If you’ve forgotten your password visit https://psswrd.cdrewu.edu/ and click Forgot my Password

Microsoft Office 365 

Q4.  I forgot my password for my cdrewu.edu email. How do I change my password? 
Answer: Visit https://psswrd.cdrewu.edu/ and click Forgot my Password 
Note When you update your password on Password Manager, you are updating your password to the following accounts: 

  • Office 365 
  • MyCDU 
  • Single Sign on Portal 
  • EZ Proxy 
  • Blackboard 
  • Wi-Fi 

Q5.  Where do I go to access my CDU email? 
Answer:  You may access your CDU email by visiting the CDU Single Sign On Portal and either clicking on Email or by accessing Office 365. 
Visit the Single Sign-On Portal at https://cdrewu.helloid.com  and select the email link. 

Q6. How do I access Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook online?
Answer: Your Microsoft Office 365 Account allows you to access popular Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel online. To access them online, log into your Office 365 Account and then click the appropriate application you want to use to begin. 

Q7. How do I download a copy of Office 365 apps to my computer? 
Answer: View Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2019 on a PC or Mac instructions on how to install Office 365 onto your computer. 

Q8. How can I add my cdrewu.edu email to my phone? 
Answer: You may access your CDU email on your phone via the Microsoft mobile Outlook app. You will need to download the Outlook application from the respective app store. Set up your CDU email in the mobile Outlook app to begin your mobile email productivity. For iPhone/iPad users you also have the option to set up your CDU email account on the iOS Mail app

Q9. I already have the Outlook app. How can I add my cdrewu.edu mailbox to my Outlook App?   
Answer:  If you already use the mobile Outlook app you can add an additional account to receive emails from your CDU email. Here are instructions on how to add your CDU email to your Outlook application. Select your device and follow the instructions.

Q10. How do I forward my cdrewu.edu email to my personal email? 
Answer: Forwarding your CDU emails will allow you to receive emails sent to your CDU email address to a preferred email address. To forward your CDU email address follow the Forwarding Instructions.

Q11. Can I gain access to my cdrewu.edu email outside of the Unites States? 
Answer: Yes. CDU currently blocks access to your Office 365 account from outside of the United States for cybersecurity purposes. If you will be out of the country for an extended period of time and will need access to your CDU email, contact helpdesk@cdrewu.edu in order to make the proper accommodations to grant access. Identity verification will be required.

MyCDU Student Center

MyCDU Student Center is used to:

  • view your class schedule
  • add and drop classes
  • view your unofficial transcript
  • view financial account information
  • update personal contact information

Q12. Where do I go to access MyCDU Student Center? 
Answer: To access your MyCDU Student Center visit selfservice.cdrewu.edu/SelfService/Home.aspx.

Q13.  I forgot my password/How Do I change my password? 
Answer: Visit https://psswrd.cdrewu.edu/ and click Forgot my Password to reset your password.
Note When you update your password on Password Manager, you are updating your password to the following accounts: 

  • Office 365 
  • MyCDU 
  • Single Sign on Portal 
  • EZ Proxy 
  • Blackboard

Q14.  How do I add/drop course on MyCDU?
Answer: To add/drop a course on MyCDU log into your MyCDU Student Center. You can follow along this video to learn how to add courses. To drop a course, follow the Registrar’s guide to make the changes you want on your class schedule. If you encounter difficulties while trying to add/drop a course on MyCDU, you may fill out an Add/Drop Form and email it to Registrar@cdrewu.edu.

Q15. I am trying to add a course but I cannot see the Add button. Who can I contact for assistance? 
Answer: If the course you are trying to add does not have any more available seats, the ADD button may not be accessible to you. Contact the Office of Registration and Records to let them know of this issue by emailing Registrar@cdrewu.edu.

Q16. How do I submit a name change?  
Answer: Fill out the Change of Name Form and send it to Registrar@cdrewu.edu. They will follow up to confirm when the changes have been made. You will be able to view the changes made in your MyCDU Student Center.

Q17.  Who do I contact to lift my financial hold in order to be able to register for courses on MyCDU? 
Answer: Contact the Student Finance and Cash Management Manager, Debra Williams, to lift your financial hold on your student account.  Email DebraWilliams@cdrewu.edu

Q18. The MyCDU Student Center website doesn’t load. Who do I contact for help?
Answer: Email helpdesk@cdrewu.edu for support.

Blackboard 

Q19. Where do I go to access my Blackboard account? 
Answer: You may access your Blackboard account by visiting the CDU Single Sign-On Portal.
Visit the Single Sign-On Portal at http://cdrewu.helloid.com  and select the Blackboard icon. 

Q20. How do I reset my Blackboard Password?
Answer: Your Blackboard password is the same as your CDU email password. If you need to reset your password visit https://psswrd.cdrewu.edu/ and click Forgot my Password to reset your password.
Note When you update your password on Password Manager, you are updating your password to the following accounts:

Q21. I registered for my courses but I do not see them on my Blackboard account.
Answer: It may take a couple of hours for your courses to populate on your Blackboard Account after registering for them on your MyCDU Student Center. If more than 24 hours have passed and you still do not see your courses on your Blackboard Account, contact the Blackboard administrator, Linda Towles, for assistance. To reach Linda, email LindaTowles@cdrewu.edu.

Q22. How can I remove past courses on my Blackboard Account? 
Answer: If you no longer want to view/have access to your past courses in your Blackboard account, contact LindaTowles@cdrewu.edu and specify which classes you will like removed.

Miscellaneous

Q23. How do I waive the Student Health Insurance?
Answer: You can find details and instructions on how to waive the student health insurance by visiting https://cdrewu.edu/students/insurance. For any questions or assistance, email healthinsuranceinfo@cdrewu.edu.

Q24. How do I request a Loaner Laptop?
Answer: To request a Loaner Laptop email StudentServices@cdrewu.edu from your CDU email and include the following information:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Circumstance for your request

Student Services will respond with a confirmation and details on how you will receive the Loaner Laptop.

Q25. How do I request a Loaner Hotspot device?
Answer: To request a Loaner Hotspot device email StudentServices@cdrewu.edu from your CDU email and include the following information:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Circumstance for your request
  • Screenshot of your internet speed test results

Student Services will respond with a confirmation and details on how you will receive the Loaner Hotspot device.

Q26. Where can I view the list of textbooks I will need for my courses?
Answer: You can find the list of textbooks required for the semester by visiting The Office of Registration and Record’s website and click Textbooks. Select your college’s textbook list to open the PDF file.

Q27. How can I download SPSS onto my computer?
Answer: The CDU Health Sciences Library has licenses available for CDU students to download SPSS onto their personal computer for free. Email library2@cdrewu.edu to receive the direct download link to gain access to SPSS.
