Professor in Division of Cancer Research and Training, Department of Medicine at CDU, and an adjunct Professor in Department of Medicine of David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. She is Co-Director of Integrated Clinical, Tissue, and Biomarker Data Base (ICTBD) Core in Center for Cancer Health Disparities. She also serves as the co-Director for CDU-AXIS Research Infrastructure Core and Investigator Development Core at CDU.
Scholarly Activities
• Understanding epigenomic and genomic factors emerging from social determinants of health and their impact on breast cancer in African American and Latinx women.
• Integration of clinical translational and basic research to understand why subgroups of cancer patients developed metastatic disease and had poor survival rate.
• Identifying biomarkers for breast cancer development and resistance to therapies
