We require all candidates to take the MCAT, and it must be taken no later than September of the year preceding admission to the School of Medicine. If there is more than one MCAT attempt, all test scores must be included on the application.

Interview Day
Based on a thorough and comparative evaluation of the AMCAS application, supplemental information, and letters of recommendation, the candidate receives a request for virtual interview sessions with CDU faculty. To adhere to physical distancing requirements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are conducting all interviews virtually.
2024 Cycle Timeline
Earliest date primary application can be submitted May 30, 2023
AMCAS primary application deadline: December 15, 2023
PLEASE NOTE: Although the deadline for submission of your primary application to AMCAS is Dec 15th, we strongly recommend submission no later than Dec 1, 2023.
Our deadline for submission of the supplemental application is January 15, 2023, so submission of the AMCAS application by December 1st assures that you can receive and submit your supplemental application by the November 19th deadline.
Transcript Deadline: December 29, 2023
Medical College Admission Test deadline: September 9, 2023
Supplemental application deadline: 30 days after the date of the supplemental application request letter, or November 15, 2023, whichever is earlier.
Application Review (Screening of completed applications): July 10, 2023 through November 2023
Invitations for interviews: July through December 2023
Interviews: August through December 2023
Offers of admission: February 15, 2024, until class sixty spots are filled.
Applicant’s response to acceptance offers: Maximum time is two weeks.

Transfer Applications
The Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Medical Degree Program does not accept transfer students.
