Volunteering at Jazz at Drew is a great way to enjoy the festival while supporting a great cause.
With 2,000 attendees expected and numerous experiences throughout the festival grounds, volunteers play an important role in producing this popular community event.
Volunteer Roles
- Event Set-Up: Assist with festival setup including wiping down tables; place table linens, table stands and numbers; cabana and booth setup.
- Volunteer Check-In: Check-in volunteers from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; refer volunteers to their assigned areas; issue volunteer T-shirts; monitor the Volunteer Shade Tent.
- Sponsor Relations: Monitor the VIP Experience area.
- General Admission and Lawn Gate Attendant: Greet guests; accept/scan tickets; issue wristbands and hand-stamps; work with event security to inspect coolers, bags, etc.,
- VIP and Sponsor Gate Attendant: Greet VIP guests/sponsors; issue VIP tickets and accept/scan tickets; issue wristbands and hand-stamps; work with event security to inspect coolers, bags, etc.
- Box Office/Ticket Sales/Will Call: Process onsite ticket purchases and issue Will Call tickets.
- Merchandise Booth: Sell festival and artist merchandise
- Information Booth/Lost & Found: Provide festival information and rules. Location for lost and found items.
- Production Assistant: Support Jazz at Drew personnel on-site as needed throughout the venue.
- Cooling Station Supervisor: Monitor the Cooling Station. Provide guests with water.
- VIP Host: Escort VIP guests/sponsors to their cabanas and tables; provide VIP tables with wine/champagne/apple cider/water.
- Pre-Production Support (Oct. 5-9): Provide administrative support in the Office of Strategic Advancement.
- Event Breakdown: Restore dressing rooms to classrooms/meeting rooms; remove linens; venue clean up; collect festival signage.
