Developing the Next Generation of Cancer Researchers
Through the American Cancer Society Center for Innovation in Cancer Research Training, eight undergraduate ACS Cancer Research Interns are participating in the Summer 2026 Undergraduate Cancer Research and Training Program.
Each scholar is paired with a faculty mentor at CDU or UCLA and receives hands-on experience conducting cancer research in a laboratory setting. Throughout the summer, scholars develop research, scientific writing, and presentation skills while exploring pathways to advanced study and careers in cancer research.
