Enrollment Management Hosts Inaugural High School Day
The Enrollment Management Division of CDU hosted the inaugural “High School Day” that welcomed around 130 high school students and their advisors to campus.
The high schools represented included Canyon Springs High School, Bernstein High School, and Rancho Verde High School.
“This was an inaugural event that allowed us to showcase our programs, campus, and student life to high school students, establishing early connections and creating a pipeline for potential future students,” shared Jessica Cotton, Assistant Director of Admissions.
“Through the activities of the day, we were able to show our commitment to educating those who want to make a difference in the health disparities in underrepresented communities,” added Cotton.
The day proved to be impactful for students as they were able to learn more about healthcare profession pathways and engage in workshops conducted by the Finical Aid and Pipeline Programs departments.
The high school students also had direct access to both the Director of Admissions and Vice Provost of Enrollment Management, where they were able to ask questions and gain incredible insight on planning their future careers.
The Enrollment Management Division intends to host a “High School Day” every fall and spring, with the next projected event taking place in March 2025 with a goal to accommodate 300 students.
