First Year Experience Students Present Life Maps
First Year Experience students displayed their life design maps in a moving presentation to the CDU campus community.
The maps reflected each student’s goals, dreams, and plans for success. In doing so, their energy, commitment, and resolve to overcome difficult challenges was also demonstrated.
This is the second cohort of the course and it’s proven to be impactful for new students as they adjust to the demands of college.
“It felt like a therapy session for me,” said Darline Darko, Pre-Nursing Program student. “They give us direction, different ways to perceive things, and they’ve encouraged me throughout the whole semester.”
First Year Experience supports new CDU undergraduate students as they begin their college journey. It centers on self-determination, self-care, community, uplifting one another, leaning on our support systems, and incorporating friends, faculty, and staff as part of a support network.
