Degree completion within the Genetic Counseling Program is contingent upon successful completion of the following.
- Five semesters, 66 credits total
- 19 courses with a final grade of 80% or better for each course
- Six fieldwork placements
- Completion of a research project and/or capstone project
- Oral defense of a research project and/or capstone project
- Completion of community education outreach project (GENC 510)
- Final evaluation of clinical skills via simulated patient encounter
- Successful attainment of curriculum objectives via a written practice board certification examination
