Use the following instructions to submit a Graduate Medical Education (GME) training verification request to Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.
Welcome to the Charles R. Drew University (CDU) Office of Graduate Medical Education. We value your interest and are committed to assisting you with your verification request. Our office carefully reviews all requests to provide appropriate verification documentation in accordance with our program guidelines.
Verification Services Overview
The GME Office provides official Verification Letters and State Medical Board Training Verifications for past residents and fellows. This official documentation confirms core training information, including:
- Resident/Fellow’s Full Name
- Dates of Attendance in the Program
- Name of the Training Program
- Additional information available upon request

Residents and Fellows Fee Requirements
- Postgraduate Physician who completed training as of June 2022 or prior: See verification fee table and follow ordering instructions
- Postgraduate Physician who completed training after July 1, 2022: Eligible for 3 waived verifications (Lifetime limit). FedEx fee applies, if applicable. This does not include third-party requests. Proceed to ordering instructions.
- All third-party (any external Hospital, Training institution, and/or Credentialing companies) requests. See the verification fee table and follow the ordering instructions.
State Medical Board Application Training Verification Requests
If you need verification for a medical board application, submit your payment using the fee requirements, then follow the ordering instructions.
- Postgraduate Physician who completed training as of June 2022 or prior: See verification fee table
- Postgraduate Physician who completed training after July 1, 2022: Eligible for 3 waived verifications (Lifetime limit). FedEx fee applies, if applicable. Proceed to ordering instructions.
- For all third-party (external Hospital or Training institution) requests, see the verification fee table and follow the ordering instructions.
Transfer of Documents
- For transfer documentation, the Program or Institution must contact the GME Office directly at gmeoffice@cdrewu.edu. Payment is waived.

Ordering Instructions
Step 1: Submit Your Request & Documentation
Submit your request via email to gmeoffice@cdrewu.edu with the following required information:
- Request Description: Clearly state what you need (e.g., “State Board Verification,” “Credentialing Letter”) and indicate if FedEx delivery is required.
- Trainee Demographic Information:
- Trainee Full Name (at time of training)
- Full Date of Birth
- Last 4 digits of Social Security Number
- Required Documentation:
- Download: Authorization to Release Information Form
- Note: The authorization form must be signed and dated within one year of the request.
Step 2: Submit Verification Fee (If Applicable)
- Visit the Verification Fee Schedule to continue with your selected service.
- Complete the required form sections.
- Add the service to your cart and proceed to Checkout.
- Select your payment method (Google Pay, Debit, or Credit Card).
- Important: Verify that your email address is correct to receive the receipt.
- Final Step: Email a copy of your payment receipt to gmeoffice@cdrewu.edu to initiate processing.
Important Disclaimers & Processing Policies
- Processing Time: In accordance with ACGME requirements, please allow up to 30 days for processing.
- Delivery & Liability: The organization is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers, incorrect mailing addresses provided by the requester, or circumstances beyond our control (including weather events, natural disasters, or carrier service disruptions). Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.
- Refund Policy: All fees are final and non-refundable, regardless of carrier delays or unsuccessful delivery attempts.
