I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. I provide support for medical students and residents of Internal Medicine. This includes didactic lectures, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), interprofessional simulation (IPE) and point of contact ultrasound (POCUS) training.

Scholarly Activities

Published works include HIV and the elderly and book chapters in “Antibiotic Therapy for Geriatric Patients” (T. Yoshikawa ed.) on the treatment of HIV in older adults including comorbidities and prevention; a book chapter in “Infection Management for Geriatrics in Long-Term Care Facilities” (T. Yoshikawa ed.) on Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection in the Nursing Home; and and review article on syphilis and HIV co-infection.

Other interests include behavioral disorders in dementia, functional assessments in mild cognitive impairment and prevention of progression, and the role of vitamin d deficiency in both osteoporosis and alveolar bone loss.
