The Campus Safety and Security department at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is committed to the safety of faculty, staff and students. CDU is considered a very safe environment for the community at large. Although no campus is immune from violence; CDU’s ongoing programs of reducing violence on our campus is accomplished by preparing the campus community in the event that violence occurs on our campus which will minimize the risk to the CDU Community.

Threat Assessment and Response
Each member of the CDU Community is responsible for reporting any threats of violence to Campus Safety or the Threat Assessment Team (TAT)
All threats are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated to determine the degree of each threat.
CDU’s Emergency Notification System will be initialized if necessary
