Dominican Republic Congressman Visits CDU for Global Health Series
As part of the ongoing Global Health Disparities Series, Eduard Espiritusanto, Congressman from the Dominican Republic, visited CDU with reps from the Caribbean nation to participate and learn about global health issues.
The visit aimed to explore potential areas of cooperation and partnership with the CDU community.
“Thank you so much for welcoming us with open arms,” said Mr. Espiritusanto. “What attracted us to the university was your mission and vision of really being inclusive of all and that’s what we want to bring and hopefully integrate as a country.”
Mr. Jose Benzan Montero, Assistant to the Congressman, was present as well to share insights about Dominican culture, tourism, education and entrepreneurship. This cultural exchange provided a valuable perspective on the Dominican Republic’s rich heritage and its contributions to the global community.
The Global Health Disparities Series serves as a platform for fostering international partnerships and addressing health disparities on a global scale. The series offers opportunities to discuss global health disparities, identify solutions to addressing those disparities and propose potential opportunities for CDU students, faculty, and staff to engage with featured nations.
