Celebrating Excellence: 11th Annual Outstanding Faculty Awards Ceremony
Staff and faculty joined together in honor of the 11th Annual CDU Outstanding Faculty Awards Ceremony & Dinner Reception, which recognizes the University’s esteemed faculty for the instrumental roles they play in continuing the University’s mission of cultivating diverse health professions leaders who are dedicated to social justice and health equity for underserved populations.
Dr. Charit Chimwala Selico, Adjunct Instructor, ELM and BSN Program, received the Outstanding Professor award for the contributions made to her students, her academic disciplines, and the campus community.
In acknowledgement of her dedicated service to the University, Dr. Dulcie Kermah, Saturday Science Academy II Director, was honored with the Outstanding Service award.
Dr. Lucy Kibe, Physician Assistant Program Director, was the recipient of the Outstanding Research award, which is presented to faculty members with exceptional track records of research grant funding and publications.
The Outstanding Teaching award was conferred to Dr. Greta Vines-Douglass, Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Program, who has an extensive record of receiving favorable teaching evaluations from students and peers.
Dr. Peregrina Arciaga, Simulation Center Director, was presented with the Outstanding Clinical Educator award, which recognizes clinicians who exemplify excellence in the provision of clinical care while exhibiting outstanding educational and mentoring capability in the training of future clinicians.

The Outstanding Faculty Award ceremony is hosted each year by the Offices of the Provost and Academic Senate. Honorees are selected by the Academic Senate based on nominations submitted by the CDU campus community.
