Dr. Weingarten is on the Medical Staff at Cedars-Sinai and serves as Professor Emeritus. Scott is Chief Value Officer and a Board member for Vytalize Health and President of FJM Health. He currently is a Board of Director at 7 different companies. Vytalize is a leading value-based care provider enablement company and FJM is a large oil and gas company that is diversifying into health care. Scott is a serial health care entrepreneur who has served as the co-founder and CEO of two industry-leading health care companies. Scott has also served as an executive at Cedars-Sinai Health System, Premier, Inc, the Hearst Corporation, and Cerner. Scott is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Charles Drew University.

Scott served as Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at Cedars-Sinai Health System. At Cedars-Sinai, Scott received the honors of Alumnus of the Year (voted on by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff), the Golden Apple Award (voted on by Cedars-Sinai’s medical interns and residents), and the President’s Award.
Scott Weingarten co-founded Zynx Health, the leading digital health order set and care plan company, and served as its Chief Executive Officer for 16 years. Scott sold Zynx to the Cerner Corporation and later to the Hearst Corporation. In addition, he was the co-inventor of 3 software patents at Zynx.

Scott later co-founded and served as CEO of Stanson Health, a clinical decision support and analytics company that uses artificial intelligence. Stanson is used by more than 700 hospitals and 400,000 health care providers in the ambulatory and telehealth setting. Scott sold Stanson to Premier, Inc (PINC) and served as Premier’s Chief Clinical and Innovation Officer following the acquisition.

Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors of seven organizations, including the Downtown Women’s Center, Hallmark Health and Vytalize Health. He serves on the Executive Board of the Scottsdale Institute, which includes many of the largest health systems in the United States. He is a Board member for PAI and Synergy.

Scott was a faculty member in the Departments of Medicine at both Cedars-Sinai and UCLA. He was Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Scott has published approximately 100 papers and book chapters, many on innovative models of health care delivery. He was a New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst “Thought Leader.”
