About
Edith Machuca is a Research Associate for the Physician Assistant Program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at CDU. During her undergrad, she was a McNair Scholar, which allowed her to complete two summers of research training through the UM-STAR program at the University of Maryland. Edith’s research interests lie at the intersection of nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and systems thinking to understand and address root causes.
