Dr. Matthew Lee is a board-certified Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon and a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Dr. Lee is trained in the medical and surgical management of all aspects of otolaryngology and has a particular interest in reconstructive surgery including functional rhinoplasty for the treatment of nasal valve obstruction.

Dr. Lee began his training at Boston University, where he was among a select few high school students who received early admission to medical school via a combined baccalaureate / MD training program. Dr. Lee graduated summa cum laude and was additionally selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Lee continued his training at UCLA where he completed a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Following residency, Dr. Lee then went on to receive additional subspecialty training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University. This fellowship included a specialized focus on cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the face, head and neck.

Dr. Lee maintains a strong interest in academic medicine and has authored many peer reviewed articles and book chapters on various topics in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has been the recipient of a research grant for his work in tissue engineering and has spoken at national meetings throughout the country. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
