At Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Klipfel is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Science Education for the pathology course. She is Board certified in anatomical, clinical, and cytopathology. During the ten years as faculty at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, she performed diagnostic work in surgical and cytopathology; was Director of the Cytopathology Fellowship and Assistant Director of the Surgical Pathology Fellowship; was preceptor for the fourth year medical student pathology rotation; and taught the pathology residents and medical students extensively. At LAC+USC, Dr. Klipfel received four teaching awards from the pathology residents and medical students. After retiring, she was director and instructor for the Healthcare Program at St. Mary’s Academy in Inglewood, California. Dr. Klipfel is again retired, and is honored to be teaching in the Charles R. Drew Medical School.
