Dr. Jason Barrett is a Clinical Assistant Professor and an Associate Residency Training program director in the Department of Psychiatry with the Charles R. Drew University College of Medicine. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) at Marymount University and his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Saint James School of Medicine. He completed his Psychiatry residency at Charleston Area Medical Center at West Virginia University. After successfully finishing his residency, Dr. Barrett completed two fellowships. His first fellowship was in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and the other was in Addiction Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine. His committee participation, presentations, and professional memberships span both the local and national levels. He also regularly volunteers time to engage in community activities.
