CDU-AltaMed Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Academy
CDU-AltaMed HCOP Ambassador Academy is a supportive pipeline that offers pre-professional learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about serving the local community as future health professionals.
HCOP Scholars are eligible for up to $10,000 in need-based scholarship, contingent on participation and have the ability to participate for multiple years, with and without funding.
HCOP Ambassador Scholars are AWESOME because they:
- Engage fully in both mandatory & voluntary enrichment activities by being punctual, prepared, & attentive during all learning opportunities.
- Participate in all events & experiences with a positive attitude, promoting cooperation and teamwork.
- Demonstrate leadership via example by exhibiting genuine respect & consideration for their peers, CDU faculty, HCOP program coordinators, as well as other visiting contributors.
- Are dedicated to lifelong & service learning, in an ongoing effort to become a well-rounded future healthcare professional who is focused on the needs of medically underserved communities.
