RN License Requirement

Students must provide proof of a current and unrestricted RN license prior to completing the RN–BSN program in order to graduate.

Students who complete all coursework but have not yet obtained licensure must take a leave of absence until they successfully pass the NCLEX-RN and obtain their RN license.

Program Goals and Professional Preparation

The RN–BSN program is designed to strengthen clinical expertise while developing leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Graduates of the program are prepared to:

  • Apply critical thinking and evidence-based practice in clinical decision-making
  • Improve patient outcomes and healthcare system performance
  • Address the needs of diverse and underserved populations
  • Serve as leaders and advocates within healthcare teams

The program emphasizes community health, population health, and health equity, preparing nurses to serve in complex and evolving healthcare environments.
