Continuing Medical Education

Charles R. Drew University (CDU) has been awarded Accreditation with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) for demonstrating excellence across each of the ACCME’s 22 Accreditation Criteria.  This distinction extends CDU a six-year accreditation term.

"The ACCME commends your organization for meeting the ACCME's accreditation requirements and for demonstrating that yours is a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians you serve. You have demonstrated an engagement with your environment in support of physician learning and change that is a part of a system for quality improvement."

Welcome to the Office of CME Homepage!
I am pleased to welcome you to the Continuing Medical Education (CME) webpage. The provision of CME has been one of the founding goals of the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and we have an active program provided by our faculty and partners including grand rounds, journal club meetings and a quality care initiative with the County of Los Angeles (through the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outpatient Center).

The CDU College of Medicine is an ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education, and we view this as a service to our faculty, community physicians, alumni, community partners in health care and other health providers who are seeking CME opportunities based on measured needs that impact our community.

The CME Office is dedicated to working with our faculty to provide programs that meet our mission and help translate the latest research on health and science into excellent care for the patients in our community.
