Support from College Nursing Faculty
Annual emergency evacuation drills
Emergency evacuation routes marked
Emergency Call Boxes located in certain classrooms
Emergency Call boxes located throughout the CDU parking structure
Emergency towers located throughout campus
Emergency public address system
Telephones in all offices and classrooms with speakers
Campus Safety Officer escorts if necessary to vehicles
Security cameras located throughout campus in selected locations
Night lighting with high-intensity lights located throughout campus
Shuttle Service to Metro Green Line (Willowbrook Station)
Everbridge Notification System
Instant alerts sent via text message, email, telephone, cell phone in the event of an emergency including incident or crisis on campus and power outages
Available to faculty, staff and all students who opt-in to the system
Users will opt in and out and manage their own account
Threat Assessment and Response
Each member of the CDU Community is responsible for reporting any threats of violence to Campus Safety or the Threat Assessment Team (TAT)
All threats are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated to determine the degree of each threat.
CDU’s Emergency Notification System will be initialized if necessary
