About the Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner Program

The Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program at CDU is an immersive 16-month program meticulously tailored for nurses aiming to transition into advanced Family Nurse Practitioner roles. This comprehensive program ensures students gain proficiency in health promotion, disease prevention, and clinical management of primary care conditions, emphasizing care across the lifespan. Delivered through an executive-education format, students are immersed in intensive weekend sessions once a month (Saturday to Tuesday), coupled with face-to-face and digitally enhanced instruction, enriching student-faculty interactions and deepening content clarity. Additionally, all clinical courses unfold as immersion practicum experiences in faculty-approved, hands-on clinical settings.

Graduates of CDU’s MSN-FNP program are primed to undertake national certification exams through ANCC or AANP, empowering them with FNP-BC or NP-C credentials respectively.
