Bachelor of Science in Public Health Admission Requirements Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) prepares undergraduate students for careers in the public health workforce and for advanced study in health-related fields, including public health, medicine, and health policy. Grounded in an understanding of how structural and social inequities affect health outcomes, the program provides a strong foundation in public health theory, applied practice, and community-centered approaches.
The BSPH curriculum integrates core public health domains, including foundational knowledge, practical skills, and research experience. Graduates are prepared to translate public health principles into real-world practice and to address health disparities and socio-environmental challenges in urban and under-resourced communities. Alumni pursue careers in local, state, and national public health agencies, health and social service organizations, community-based organizations, or continue into graduate and professional education.
