CDU Welcomes Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. Jose Torres-Ruiz
CDU welcomed the University’s new Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. Jose Torres-Ruiz.
Dr. Torres-Ruiz obtained his B.S. degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Washington State University.
With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to academic excellence, Dr. Torres-Ruiz is ready to lead the university into an exciting new chapter.CDU is thrilled to have him on board and looks forward to the incredible impact he will have on our community. Dr. Torres-Ruiz will assume the role from Dr. Sylvia Manning, Interim Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, who has held the position for the past two years.
