President Dr. David Carlisle Appointed to WSCUC’s Commission
Dr. David M. Carlisle, CDU President and CEO, has been appointed to the WASC Senior Colleges and University Commission (WSCUC).
In his role as a commissioner, President Carlisle will help establish the standards for institutional quality and processes for review, act on accreditation status of individual institutions, and set WSCUC’s strategic goals.
WSCUC is an accrediting agency serving a diverse membership of public and private higher education institutions around the world.
The Commission guides the direction and makes the official decisions of the agency as a higher education organization committed to excellence, equity, and the public good
President Carlisle remarked on his appointment, saying, “It is an honor to join the WSCUC Commission and contribute to the important work of ensuring that higher education institutions uphold the highest standards of excellence and equity. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow commissioners to support the success of our diverse academic communities.”
Commissioners are elected by the presidents of WSCUC-accredited institutions and serve an initial three-year term, with the opportunity to be re-elected for a second term.
