About

Goals of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment (OIEA)

  1. The goal of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment (OIEA) is to enhance institutional effectiveness with information and analysis to support education, research, planning, policy formation, and decision making at CDU.
  2. The Office provides institutional data and information about CDU for contractual agreements with state and federal government, other external agencies, and the University stakeholders (administration, faculty, students, staff, and public).

Objectives of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment

  1. Coordinate acquisition and dissemination of data about the University to stakeholders (administrators, faculty, students, staff, and public).
  2. Generate and disseminate data in a usable format to assist stakeholders.
  3. Coordinate and complete appropriate mandated CDU and related reports to ensure the institution meets contractual requirements.
  4. Generate and disseminate data in a usable format for marketing and benchmarking purposes.
  5. Plan and execute institutional research projects.
  6. Generate Policy and Procedures for information dissemination and collection
  7. Work with other departments to compile accurate CDU data.

Service Areas of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment (OIEA)

  1. Serve as an electronic repository of archived information on students, faculty and staff.
  2. Identify trends that will affect resource commitments in the future.
  3. Report to the CDU stakeholders and governing bodies that monitor the activities and assets of the University.
  4. Produce decision-support programming and analysis for University and departmental purposes.
  5. Contribute data and information for the publication of the CDU Fact Book.
  6. Support University-wide strategic planning;
  7. Support University-wide and Academic Program Review.
  8. Collaborate with survey development and research.
  9. Provide and report management information and policy analysis.
