What is the First-Year Experience Program with Summer Bridge Intensive?
The Charles R. Drew University of Medicine (CDU) First-Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to support new incoming students at CDU prior to and during their first year at the university. This year-long program begins with a four-week summer intensive program and continues with of a year-long course that meets twice per week in both the fall and spring terms.
First-Year Experience Program Eligibility
Any new, or incoming, high school graduate or transfer student entering the fall 2020 term. First generation college student (Parent/guardian does not have a Bachelor’s degree).
Demonstrated financial need. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit How to Apply for Financial Aid for more information.
Must submit the First-Year Experience Program application by Friday, May 1, 2020.
Must complete the CDU Accuplacer placement exam in May 2020. You will be able to select dates on the application.
