Why the Entry-Level Master of Science in Nursing Program?

Our MSN-ELM program empowers nurse leaders to shape the future of healthcare equity. We explore how emerging nurse leaders can impact social determinants of health and well-being outcomes at both the patient, family, and community levels. Through a social justice lens, students are taught to provide optimal whole-centered care using effective communication and health advocacy.

Students will provide care for patients in diverse acute health care settings and community agencies, with an experienced nurse educator by their side. Students develop the professional registered nursing role through a variety of patient care experiences. Our nursing students learn how to care for patients and their families within a supportive environment.

Graduates demonstrate their emerging leadership skills by improving clinical outcomes and care processes in a quality, cost-effective manner and serving as a key member of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
