Uniform Guidance Task Force

Once again thank you for agreeing to serve on the CDU Uniform Form Task Force Committee. Attached you will find a listing of the task force committees and its members. The functionality of the Uniform Guidance Task Force will be based on the following three major components of the new Uniform Guidance: 

  • Administrative Requirements
  • Cost Principles
  • Audit Requirements

As indicated in prior communications, the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) were released by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on December 26, 2013. Included in the new guidance are definitions, uniform administrative requirements cost principles and audit requirements. The Uniform Guidance supersedes guidance that was previously contained in eight different OMB Circulars:

The Uniform Guidance Task Force will be charged with the responsibilities of accomplishing the following:

  • Review the entire legislation, to include crosswalks of existing and new policies and to ensure understanding and relevance to CDU
  • Identify the impact of the new regulations 
  • Determine the impact of the new regulations to existing CDU policies and processes and
  • Make recommendations about changes that need to be made based on the new regulations
  • Create new and/or update policies and procedures to align with the uniform guidance
  • Understand national developments and implementation strategies disseminated at other Universities
  • Creating new and innovative educational/training materials 
  • Implement, sustain, and monitor/assess compliance solutions
