Dr. Gail E. Wyatt, the Dena Bat Yaacov Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA, will join Dr. Paul Simon, Chief Science Officer, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health as guest panelists for the CDU Community Forum on Tuesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. PST.
The CDU Community Forum is a free monthly virtual forum where medical experts and community leaders discuss key issues impacting under-resourced communities. The forum is moderated by Sylvia Drew Ivie, who is the CDU Senior Special Assistant to the President for External Affairs and daughter of Charles R. Drew. Each event features two guest panelists along with Dr. David M. Carlisle, President of CDU, as a recurring panelist.
Prior guests so far this year have been Denise Diaz, City of South Gate Council Member, Rev. Dawnesha K. Beaver, Program Coordinator, CDU/Kedren Vaccines and Executive Minister of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and Cheryl Branch, Executive Director of Metropolitan Churches.
The forum will be hosted on Zoom and there will be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions for the panelists during the event..
