Marie Phillip is attending Maxine Waters for medical terminology. Through this course, he hopes to gain the knowledge he needs to become an emergency technician (E.M.T). After obtaining his E.M.T certification Phillip plans on becoming a firefighter. Phillip loves to help people; he believes that becoming a firefighter will be the perfect blend for utilizing his athleticism and applying his passion for helping others. During his free time, he likes to workout, play video games and listen to music. Philip also watches firefighter workout highlights on YouTube and enjoys playing football.

In high school, Philip served as the captain of his football team and led his team to several victories! His skills and leadership eventually allowed the school to break its ongoing losing streak. Phillip states “I was a great a team leader and a hard worker. I believe teamwork was the biggest reason we were able to break L.A Jordan’s nightmare record.” Phillip is excited about his future and looks forward to learning from the PA Program’s staff and professors.
