Meet The Team

Marie Natalie serves as the Program Coordinator for the Physician Assistant Program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and is responsible for the organization and administration of the program.

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Fine arts in Creative Producing from Chapman University in Orange County. After three years working as an assistant and intern in the entertainment business, Natalie decided on a new career path. She wants to focus on community improvement and academia.

In her spare time, Natalie is an avid reader and is currently working on her own book blog, while trying to reach her goal of reading 100 books a year. Natalie is also working on her Spanish language skills and is taking Spanish classes once a week. When not at work, she can be found watching horror movies, discussing pop culture, avoiding exercise, and attending cultural events and concerts in the Los Angeles area.

Marie Deneé Easy serves as the Administrative for the Physician Assistant Program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.

Deneé completed her Bachelors of Arts in English and Public Health in addition to her Masters of Arts in African American Studies: Urban Health at the University at Albany, in Albany, New York. Deneé spent most of her undergraduate and graduate years working in different realms of Student Affairs including student activities, programming, research and development, and campus management.

In her spare time, Deneé maintains a natural hair empowerment blog where she helps young women learn to style natural hair and “rock it” with confidence. Deneé also serves as the Head Cheerleading Coach for Santee High School junior varsity team, and as the Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the varsity team. Cheerleading has been a major part of Denee’s life; this year marks her thirteenth year of being involved in the sport. She loves that the cheerleading allows athletes to build extended families, become leaders, learn how to overcome fears, and how to believe.

Marie Emily Konishi is the first intern for the CDU PA program, starting in May 2017. She attends Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where she will be a junior next fall. Emily is currently studying biology and hopes to work in the medical field when she is older. She is also part of the Division 1 women’s water polo team. She broke the program record for most assists in a game (8) this past spring season.

She has spent most of her summers training for water polo and competing in tournaments, but since entering college, she has immersed herself in other activities. She taught swim lessons and lifeguarded at her high school pool. In her free time, Emily likes to go to the beach, paint, and eat really good food. She goes hiking with her dog and is learning how to cook. She aspires to travel the world someday and learn about all of the different cultures.
