is the founding Program Director for the new Master of Health Science Physician Assistant Program at Charles R. Drew University (CDU). She joined CDU in September 2014 and spearheaded bringing the new Physician Assistant Program to CDU. The program was successfully granted Accreditation Provisional status in April 2016.
She is certified through the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed as a Physician Assistant by the State of California.
Her experience includes appointments as Educational Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Quinnipiac University, as Assistant Professor in the Quinnipiac University Department of Medical Sciences, and has extensive service as a Physician Assistant in a number of clinical settings, with an area of specialty in blood and marrow transplantation.
Prof. Moini holds a Master of Health Science Physician Assistant degree, Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC).
Prof. Moini was a member of the U.S. Inline Hockey Team and competed at several World Inline Hockey tournaments. She also has a nationally registered therapy dog named Luci that is an ambassador for her breed. Luci, an American Staffordshire terrier, specializes in working with children with learning disabilities and makes a fantastic skating companion along the boardwalk in Hermosa Beach!
