Science Day 2021
CDU Science Day is an annual day of explorations in medicine and science for more than 250 elementary, middle and high school youth, traditionally hosted each summer on the campus of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in the Watts-Willowbrook community of South Los Angeles. With STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine) as the foundation, CDU Science Day features multiple age and grade-level appropriate fun learning labs. At each lab, students engage in instructional and kinesthetic activities designed to increase their knowledge of 1) scientific principles and the fields of mental health, public health, and medicine, 2) the science behind a variety of medical procedures and specialties and, 3) health care professions. This event is open to the community and is taking place online this year via Zoom.

Junior White Coat Ceremony
Junior White Coat Ceremony is the signature event of Saturday Science Academy II (SSA II). Traditionally, the White Coat Ceremony is a national medical school activity representing an important milestone in the academic career of health sciences or medical students—their transition from theoretical learning and lab work to practical application in the world of clinical practice and direct interaction with real patients.
We will celebrated the achievements of our young doctors and scientist for their consecutive participation in SSA II for the 2020 year on January 9, 2021.
