The Post-Master’s Certificate (PMC) program is designed for nurses holding a master’s degree in nursing who are interested in completing course requirements leading to the Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification. The Family Track prepares master-degreed nurses to manage the care of individuals and families across the lifespan.

Graduates of the Post-Master’s Certificate (PMC) Program with the family specialty are eligible to take a certification exam from either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to earn the FNP-BC credential, or take a certification exam through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) to earn the NP-C credential. Nurse Practitioner students who have successfully passed their national board certification exam can then apply for both the Nurse Practitioner Certification and Furnishing Number.
