The CDU Community Forum

The CDU Community Forum is a monthly virtual forum where medical experts and community leaders discuss key issues impacting under-resourced communities.   The forum is moderated by Sylvia Drew Ivie, daughter of Charles R. Drew. The event features guest panelists along with Dr. David M. Carlisle, President, and CEO of CDU, as a recurring panelist.

The next CDU Community Forum is Tuesday, September 27 @ 2-3:30 PM Pacific

The topic for the September CDU Community Forum will be Climate Change and Our Community.  Studies have shown that the negative impacts of climate change hit poorer neighborhoods and minority communities the hardest.  Akim Watts and Nia Knierim from CORE Response Los Angeles will join CDU President and CEO David M. Carlisle for a discussion about addressing these impacts from a variety of viewpoints
