CDU provides diverse students with practical, real-world skills needed to serve our ever-changing health system. Degree programs include an Associate of Science degree in Radiography, Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, Post-baccalaureate certificates in Pre-Medicine and Public Health Concepts, Master’s in Public Health, Master’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Master’s of Science in Nursing (Entry Level Master’s and Family Nurse Practitioner), Master’s of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant, and Post-Master’s certificates in Nursing (Advanced Nurse Educator, Family Nurse Practitioner), and the MD degree through the CDU/UCLA Medical Education Program.

As a predominantly graduate health professions school, our students come to the University with significant educational and career experiences. The average age of Graduate Students at CDU is 33 years, and the average age of Undergraduate Students is 30 years. 69% of students are female and 31% are male.

The University’s mission to train health professionals improve the health of underserved populations attracts a highly diverse student body, both demographically and socioeconomically. In the Fall 2016 incoming class, 39% of undergraduates were eligible for Pell grants for low income students, and 77% of medical students are self-described as ‘disadvantaged.’
