RN to BSN Admission Policies

Students who plan to follow the RN-BSN degree completion program should apply to the MMDSON RN-BSN Completion Program for admission to the University.

Applicants are required to submit:

  1. A completed online application form.
  2. $50 Application Fee (non-refundable).
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges attended.
  4. Evidence of current unrestricted licensure to practice professional nursing.
  5. Resume or Curriculum Vitae (encouraged).
  6. Goal Statement of no more than 2 pages.
  7. One professional Letter of Recommendation (Academic instructor or Clinical Supervisor).
  8. Military personnel must submit evidence of current licensure in the United States.

RN to BSN Admission Policies

Applicants work with an assigned advisor to complete the application process. Admission requirements include:

  1. Overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  2. Completion of all prerequisites with a minimum grade of C.
    1. If not completed, student must complete missing General Education or transfer courses while taking RN-BSN courses.
    2. Student must understand their individualized curriculum plan may be longer than three semesters depending on the number of courses needed to complete the required 120 units for Bachelors’ Degree.
  3. Immunizations:
    1. Hepatitis B completed series due at program application. Titer are accepted.
    2. TB screen test (2-step due at application and annually). If contraindicated, a medical recommendation must be submitted.
  4. Current Healthcare Provider CPR
  5. Physical examination records.
  6. Evidence of malpractice insurance
