What inspired me to go into Medicine:
I draw a great deal of inspiration from my wife, our four children, the South Los Angeles community wherein I worked prior to attending medical school and the Inland Empire community in which I was raised.
Goals for the future:
My goal for the future is to contribute to the South Los Angeles region both as a community psychiatrist and as an academic mental health educator with the aim of increasing access to care for all patients.

I am most interested in mood disorders, memory, addiction, nutrition, fitness, and wellness.

I like traveling, reading classic English literature, and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. I also enjoy cooking and eating healthy food; listening to music; and spending quality time with family and friends.

What inspired me to go into Medicine:
I chose a career in medicine in order to help those in need and make a difference in their lives. I enjoyed studying science at a young age and my mother always encouraged me to pursue my interests. I majored in Neuroscience in college and now I'm studying psychiatry!

Goals for the future:
I am interested in pursuing a fellowship after residency, most likely in addiction medicine. I plan to practice adult psychiatry in a mixed setting at a large organization.
