CDU and LAUSD Local District South to Announce a New Admissions Pathway



A celebration ceremony will be held for a new pathways agreement between Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Local District South. The agreement creates seamless admissions programs to CDU for high school graduates in Local District-South who meet admission requirements at CDU. The goal is to create pathways for historically underserved students who want to study medicine, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (Med-STEM) in college.

In addition, programs will be established to increase access to Med-STEM based instruction to create graduates ready to enter college or a career.

LAUSD Local District South will also hold an annual job fair to place CDU students in area schools to teach Med-STEM courses.
