Mr. Ilapakurthi received his undergraduate Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from Regional Engineering College, India. Rao has over 12 years of IT experience in the areas of analysis, design, administration, testing and implementation of enterprise network. Rao served Bank Of the West (formerly Sanwa Bank) in Los Angeles for two years as a certified support technician. Rao also served Sanwa Bank as a Sr. Systems Engineer in Desktop Applications Analysis and Testing for more than a year. Rao is also MCSE and CCNA certified. Additional experience in configuring network management software, Novell NetWare, Windows NT, MS Exchange Server and installations, troubleshooting various network devices.

The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and managing all the hardware, software, and computer networks that support the Informatics Core and associated programs such as Telemedicine. The NSA oversees all local and regional networks, such as those that support collaborative research between Drew and UCLA, and the telemedicine network that connects the community health clinics in South Los Angeles. The NSA complements the technical support capacity at local clinics and institutions, and works cooperatively with the Drew Office of Academic Computing and the Drew Information Systems Department.
