About
The mission of the Charles Drew University Center for Biomedical Informatics is to conduct original research on the optimal use of health information technology in urban, medically underserved settings and to develop novel computational and sociotechnical solutions for research problems in molecular biology, medicine, and public health that enable biomedical investigators at Charles Drew University to collaborate, compete, and contribute to the national translational research and biomedical informatics agenda. The service aim of the Center involves providing investigators at the university with state-of-the-art informatics methods and solutions for their research projects.
The Center brings together a multi-disciplinary team of researchers with backgrounds and interest in clinical medicine, biomedical informatics, medical geography and geographical information systems, computer science, sociotechnical theories and qualitative methods.
