Michael V. Drake, M.D., chancellor of University of California, Irvine, will be the distinguished speaker at the 27th Annual Commencement Ceremony at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Drake launched new programs in public health, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing science. He also presided over the first new public law school in California in more than four decades.
Other honorees: Robert K. Ross, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, and B. Kathlyn Mead, executive vice president and chief operating officer, both of The California Endowment will receive the Board of Trustees Medal of Honor. This award represents the university’s highest honor.
