Purchasing Hardware and Software

Departments are responsible for purchasing software licenses for their employees. The University has negotiated site licenses with reduced prices for some common software titles. Departments that are interested in obtaining licenses for this software should contact the Helpdesk helpdesk@cdrewu.edu (x4990) to request installation. The University has purchased the following software site licenses:

  • Microsoft Office Professional. This software includes Word, Excel, Access , PowerPoint, and Outlook. Price is $95.00 per user.
  • Microsoft Office for MAC. This software includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Entourage. Price is $75.00 per user.
  • Symantec Anti Virus software available for staff and faculty for download if you are on the CDU network.
  • Adobe Products (Acrobat Professional, Photoshop etc.) are also available at significant discounts (e.g. Acrobat is $65 per user).
  • SPSS (Campus limited license. Can be used off campus- Instructions )
