  • Radiographers work on staffs of hospitals and clinics, in mobile imaging units, and physicians’ offices, registries, and traveling registries.
  • With the onset of an aging population combine with a projected increase in the
    number of imaging centers, the demand for radiographers will experience rapid
    growth in the years to come.
  • Further achievement in the profession offers opportunities in education, computer tomography, diagnostic medical sonography, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, and commercial employment with major manufacturers.
  • Because of the annual increase of radiologic procedures performed since the 1960’s, there is a need for more radiologic technologist.
  • In recent years, radiologic technologist have seen their opportunities and earning power increase as the number of vacancies have outnumbered the amount of available candidates.
