Program Mission
To train public health professionals to promote research and services in disease prevention and health promotion for culturally diverse and medically underserved urban communities.
 
 
Program Goals
 
  • Train public health professionals who will lead, organize, develop, implement, and
    evaluate culturally relevant, science-based urban health programs.
  • Increase the number of public-health professionals from economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse, and medically underserved urban communities.
  • Conduct culturally relevant, science-based training for community organizations and leaders to promote collaborative initiatives to solve public-health problems.
  • Promote and conduct research and policy analysis on urban community health issues.
