- Train public health professionals who will lead, organize, develop, implement, and
evaluate culturally relevant, science-based urban health programs.
- Increase the number of public-health professionals from economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse, and medically underserved urban communities.
- Conduct culturally relevant, science-based training for community organizations and leaders to promote collaborative initiatives to solve public-health problems.
- Promote and conduct research and policy analysis on urban community health issues.
