The radiological program aims to educate entry-level radiologic technologists who assist in providing high quality healthcare with excellence and compassion by producing diagnostic images through the knowledge and application of radiologic science while maintaining the patient as their primary focus, and by administering the necessary radiation protection measures and quality patient care.
Upon graduation, radiological technologists will be able to
- Establish clinical competency with accurate positioning skills, selection of appropriate technical factors and use of appropriate radiation protection measures.
- Demonstrate oral and written communication skills
- Practice problem solving and critical thinking by successfully completing all laboratory experiments and adapt to non-routine positioning situations.
- Exhibit ethical and professional behaviors including professionalism upon employment, protection of patient information and development of a professional portfolio.
