Assist the pharmacist in collecting, organizing, and evaluating information for direct
client care
Receive and screen prescription/medication orders for completeness and authenticity
Prepare medications for distribution
Help the pharmacist administer immunizations
Help the pharmacist identify clients who need counseling to optimize the use of medications and/or equipment
Initiate, verify, bill, and collect payment
Manage inventory of medications, equipment, and devices
Assist the pharmacist in monitoring the facility for legal compliance and professional standards
Graduates will be eligible for registration and licensing by the Board of Pharmacy and to sit for the comprehensive National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination.
