Role of a Pharmacy Technician
|
| |
- Help licensed pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients
- Perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles
- Refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist
- Work in various settings with responsibilities and duties dependent upon state rules and regulations.
- May have added responsibilities in certain settings (i.e., hospitals or long-term care pharmacies) such as reviewing patient charts and profiles to provide adequate pharmacy services through medication and delivery to the inpatient wards.
